To experience the homestead firsthand, join us for a guided tour!

Beginning August 4, the Hutchinson Homestead & Learning Center will be open for guided tours by appointment only.  Please call (719)239-0955 or email to schedule.

The Visitor Center provides a comprehensive introduction of the site through interpretive signage, displays and a welcome video, followed by a guided tour with a knowledgeable HH&LC tour guide that provides a unique opportunity to go inside the historic Ranch House, outbuildings, corrals and farm yard.  Walk in the footsteps of those that have lived and worked on this homestead, and see first-hand what life was like on a homestead and working ranch over 140 years ago. Join Us!

Preservation Tours

For preservation enthusiasts!  This tour provides an in-depth explanation of the preservation methods used to rehabilitate the historic buildings.  You’ll see clues in the buildings that reveal insights into the past and you’ll be amazed at surprising discoveries uncovered during construction. By appointment only.  Please contact to schedule.

Want to include a guided tour or preservation tour for your group or event?  Please contact us and we would be happy to schedule this with you! (719)239-0955 or email
